Lactation Education
I am a CAPPA Certified Lactation Educator™, CLE®. The CAPPA Lactation Educators fill an important role in educating, counselling, and supporting families and the community by providing evidence based information about lactation and breastfeeding.
Lactation Educators work with families from preconception, to pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period... right through to weaning. I offering education, encouragement, counseling, an experienced point of view, and foster confidence, as I support your personal infant feeding goals. I offer non-judgemental support and help you to get the information you need to make choices that make sense for you and your family. Every infant feeding journey is as varied as the families experiencing them- you decide how this will look in your home!

East Hants Breastfeeding Support Group
I am one of the "leaders" at the East Hants Breastfeeding Support Group. The group meets once a month at Nova Centre (224 Highway 214, Elmsdale, Nova Scotia). We're on Facebook too! Click here.
Meetings are always FREE and young children are welcomed to come along. We have snacks and refreshments for you to enjoy, as well as a lending library of books and dvds on all things breastfeeding and parenting. All meetings are "drop-ins" so you can come and go as you please in the timeframe of our meetings. Pregnancy is the PERFECT time to connect with a breastfeeding support group!
We sometimes have topics that generate conversation, but they are put on the "back-burner" for any questions or concerns raised by the attendees. We all benefit when breastfeeding works! We aim to help you:
